Encored is a concert-logging app for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible.

Who we are

Encored is an independently developed app. You can reach us any time at support@encored.app.

How you sign in

Sign in with Apple is the only way to create an account. We never see your Apple password. On first launch you choose a unique username, which is stored with your account and shown to friends you connect with.

What we store

  • Your shows — the concerts you log (artist, venue, date), the setlists attached to them, your private notes and ratings.
  • Your profile — your username and, if you set one, a profile photo.
  • Your connections — the friends you mutually confirm and the people you tag on a show.
  • Photos you choose to attach — see “Your photos” below.

This data is stored on a hosted database (operated for us by a third-party cloud hosting provider) and protected by per-user access rules so that only you — and the people you explicitly share a show with — can read your data.

Your photos

Photo matching happens on your device. When you ask Encored to find photos from a show, it compares the place and time of photos in your library against the show, locally. No photo leaves your phone unless you explicitly attach it to a show or pool it with the other people who were there. Photos you keep private are never uploaded.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we use Apple’s Push Notification service to tell you when someone tags you or invites you to a show. You can turn these off in iOS Settings at any time.

Purchases

Encored Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We receive confirmation from Apple that your purchase is valid so we can unlock Pro features — we never see your payment details.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your data.
  • We don’t show third-party ads.
  • We don’t build advertising profiles about you.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the app. When you do, your personal data is removed. Shows and setlists you shared with other attendees remain available to them, because they’re part of those people’s history too — but they’re no longer tied to your account.

Your rights

You can view and update your profile in the app, request a copy of your data, and delete your account at any time. If you’re in a region with data-protection laws (such as the EEA, UK, or California), you have additional rights over your personal data — email support@encored.app and we’ll help. We don’t sell your personal information.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data promptly, except anything we must retain to meet a legal obligation. Shared show and setlist rows persist for the other attendees, as described above.

Children

Encored isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
